Catching All Actions of the Draughts Players in Malawi
by webmaster

ADMA has taken another step. After international games that involved Zambian player, Mwaaza Sakala(Sacks),  and two selected Malawian players, Enock Makoka and Madalitso Thom (Baba) which ended in favour of Sacks it seemed everybody was devastated with the loss. Now ADMA will start arranging official friendly games between different players so that draughts (Pool Checker) fans all over the world can be following player performance in the country. This will help in several areas, for example it will encourage players to be taking the games seriously and eventually becoming the best. In addition Sports Council of Malawi will easily monitor the activeness of the grouping through the same program hence boosting chances of finalizing membership registration quickly.

Fixtures will be posted on ADMA website in advance under Upcoming Events and results of every match will be posted on the same under Past Events.

Speaking to some players the Secretary General, Suzgo Nkhoma, kindly asked serious players to be pro-active baring in mind that their names can be known through out the world if the program can be a success. With the same program player ranking calculations would be easy and also selecting best players to belong to first division would be simple.

The program is with immediate effect. Every repetitive (weekly) local tournaments, individual challages, official friendly games plus many more played in different locations will be captured and made available to the internet community.

ADMA has a Bank Account                                by Suzgo Nkhoma

Picture
In striving to get Government recognition, Association of Draughts in Malawi, ADMA, has fulfilled one of the most wanted requirements for an association to be fully registered with Malawi Council of Sports. An association must have an operating bank account and ADMA has just done that with one of the reknowned local banks in Malawi called Malawi Savings Bank. The opening of an account happened on Friday the 29th June 2012. The bank account has four signatories and any withdrawals will require that any three of them must sign for the same. The names of the signatories are; Mr Misheck Munthali (President) Mr Dick Graim (treasurer) Mr Ackson Mkandawire (vice Treasurer) and Mr Suzgo Nkhoma(Secretary General).

Here are the account details:

Account Name:              Association of Draughts in Malawi or ADMA in short

Account Number:           202 4200945 001

Account Type:               Savings

Branch:                         Blantyre

Speaking to draughts fans, ADMA president, Misheck Munthali said “The opening of a Bank Account has marked a mile stone towards great things to come, so slowly ADMA is getting to what we describe as a promised land. Companies, individuals and some other well wishers cannot assist us financially if we do not have a bank account as funds accountability is questionable. But with the bank account we have built trust into our Government and prospective sponsors and we are just looking forward to a day when ADMA will get membership with the Government of Malawi, our ultimate goal.
