Malawi 5th National Championship ON (06 - 09 April 2018)
Malawi National championship is the only platform that produces Team Malawi. The 5th series of Malawi National draughts64 battle will be hosted in the same city, Blantyre where we also expect to witness the continental showcase.
It has been slated to take place in April 06(arrival) to 09(departure) ahead of the continental crash. The aim of this year's Championship is to select in addition to 3 elite masters, 10 best athletes to make a total of 13 who will represent Malawi in the forth coming 2nd African Championship.
In total there are 40 National Finalists, 35 players across three regions of Malawi who made it into the national finals through regional Championships. Three masters had auto qualification and two were invited. Names of the finalists are listed below.
There will be an entry fee of K1000. 00 for each participant. An athelet will not be allowed to play without honoring the entry fee.
The championship will be hosted at Sibwenison Park which is situated in the city of Blantyre in Chilomoni Township.
