Misheck Munthali (Jobs) vs Mwaaza Sakala (Sacks)
The afternoon of Tuesday the 11th June 2013 was a craker to those who love the game of draughts, it was when Misheck Munthali others call him Jobs, President of the Association of Draughts in Malawi ADMA came face to face via playdraughts.com with the renowned Mwaaza Sakala popularly known as Sacks in a 10 game match. Playdraughts.com is a plat form where live online games of draughts take place. The game started in a rather slow note with each player trying to observe tactics of his opponent. Apparently each player looked confident on the game as every body tried as much as possible to avoid some silly mistakes.
When game number one ended in a draw everybody thought he had seen the strength of his opponent and was geared to score the second game. to the amazement of both the second game ended in another draw.
As if it was not enough the third game ended in another draw. Probably Sacks at this point knew that it would not be as easy as he would expect to beat his opponent. this comes at a back ground that last year Sakala visited Malawi and had already tested Jobs on a physical board in which he emerged victor. Am sure he had great confidence that beating him second time would not be a problem.
Draws continued to come, up to game number 8, during game number 9 to a layman like me it was as if Jobs had an upper hand but Sacks showed his superiority when he from no where overturned the table with a wonderful shot which forced Jobs to loose a piece a situation very difficult to survive when playing heavy weights like Sacks. With a piece down Jobs was powerless and continued to see torture until he resigned making it 1-0-9.
The last game am sure Jobs was very furious and at all cost he wanted to revenge, but it was too late for tears, he tried to put Sacks to a tight corner but Sacks new pretty well the defensive style of the game and the game ended in a draw. the end scoreline was 1-0-10.

After the game I talked to Sacks who admitted that Jobs was very strong as he struggled to beat him. On the other hand Jobs conceded defeat and congratulated Sacks though he wanted to force the match into a draw.
